The office coffee maker got replaced by an AI one, what a mess
Our building in Austin swapped the old drip machine for a smart brewer that tracks consumption and schedules cleanings. First week it kept locking out at 9:45 AM because it thought we hit our caffeine limit, so Dave had to unplug it twice. By month two the AI adjusted to our peak hours and now it brews a stronger batch right before our 1 PM standup. Has anyone else had to retrain a machine on basic office habits, or is this just our bad luck?
Disagree with the "mess" label. Sounds like the machine just needed a learning curve, same as any new hire. Our office got a smart brewer last year and yeah, the first two weeks were rough, but once it figured out our 3 PM donut run, it became the most reliable thing in the breakroom. Honestly, Dave unplugging it is probably why it recalibrated faster, sometimes a hard reset is all tech needs. Give it another month and you'll wonder how you survived the burnt bottom-of-the-pot days.
