A senior editor in Chicago told me my AI copywriting was too generic and it stung
She said my product descriptions sounded like a robot trying to sound like a human (which, fair). So I started mixing in real customer quotes from reviews and now my conversion rate jumped 15 percent in 3 months. Has anyone else been told their AI output is too "on the nose" and had to tweak their approach?

Ha! I just read something about this in a marketing newsletter - they found that sprinkling in real customer language made AI content feel way more human. Sounds like you stumbled onto something real. Smart move pulling those review quotes in, right?

That's the thing I keep noticing everywhere lately. Even in real life, the most REAL conversations happen when people use their own WORDS instead of trying to sound proper. Like at the hardware store last week, the guy didn't say "I recommend this sealant for optimal weatherproofing," he just said "this stuff keeps the rain out, I use it on my own shed." That's exactly the same idea you're talking about with the reviews. People trust that honest, clumsy language way more than something that sounds like it was written by a robot or a lawyer.

@john_fisher hardware store guy is overselling it. A 15% jump is nice, but it's not that deep.
