My boss told me my AI-generated reports were "soulless" - turns out she was right

Spent 3 months perfecting these automated sales summaries using ChatGPT outputs, then my manager in Detroit said they read like a robot wrote them for other robots. Switched to writing just the headlines myself and letting AI handle the data crunching, now she actually reads them before our Monday meetings. Anyone else find that balance between human input and AI output or am I overthinking this?

Found a way to shave 3 miles off a loop in the Shenandoahs

I was planning a 4 day route through the Shenandoah backcountry and kept hitting a wall with this one section that added a big loop. Then I pulled up an old USGS map I found at a ranger station and noticed a faint trail not on the AllTrails app. Took that path and it cut 3 miles and saved me a steep climb near a creek crossing. Has anyone else found better luck with paper maps over digital for finding hidden shortcuts?

Got banned from a gardening forum for saying you can grow tomatoes in 5 gallon buckets

My neighbor Bob told me to ignore the experts and just drill holes in a Home Depot bucket for my Roma tomatoes in Phoenix last summer. I posted the results showing 30 pounds of fruit and they flagged me for dangerous advice about drainage or something lol. Has anyone else gotten silenced for sharing something that actually worked perfectly?

Got into it with a mod on Reddit last night about shadowbanning

I posted a link to a news article about a local protest in Chicago, nothing crazy, and it got instantly removed with no reason given. A mod finally messaged me back saying it was 'misinformation' but wouldn't point out what was wrong. I asked for their criteria and they just ghosted me. Has anyone else hit this wall where they won't even explain the rule you broke?

Frozen chicken wings at 400 degrees are better than fresh ones

Been cooking wings in my air fryer for about 2 years now. Tried fresh wings from the butcher last week and they came out dry compared to a bag of frozen Foster Farms I did for comparison. The frozen ones stay juicier inside because they dont lose moisture during thawing. Anyone else notice this or am I just getting bad fresh chicken?

Got suspended from a gardening forum for saying 'native plants don't need fertilizer' and the mods went ballistic

I was in a thread about lawn care on a big gardening site, just sharing what I learned after helping at a community garden in Austin for 2 years. I wrote that most native wildflowers and grasses actually do worse with added nitrogen, and that fertilizer can kill off the beneficial microbes in the soil. Within 4 hours, a mod sent me a ban notice for 'spreading misinformation' even though I had a link to a Texas A&M study backing it up. I appealed twice but they never replied, so now I just lurk on smaller local groups instead. Has anyone else run into mods who think they know more than actual research?

I used to just shake my basket halfway through cooking

Ended up pulling fuses one by one on a 2012 Civic and the stupid little plunger switch was just stuck in the released position, has anyone else had a simple interior light cause that much headache?

Finally binged The Bear this weekend after putting it off for a year

I kept hearing people rave about it on this sub but figured a show about a kitchen couldn't hold my attention for more than one episode. Then last Saturday I sat down at 9pm and before I knew it the sun was coming up and I had watched the whole first season. Did anyone else feel like those high stress kitchen scenes actually made your heart race or is that just me?
