Watched two coworkers quit over the new stack ranking system and the one who waited got $12k more
We had a big all hands in March where they rolled out forced rankings at my company. My buddy Dave quit that same week and took the first offer he got, a $70k spot at a smaller place. My other coworker Maria stayed, played nice for two months, then got laid off with a severance package worth about $12k plus health coverage. Dave was mad when he found out. Anyone else seen staying through the layoff beat quitting early?
