My cousin said my AI cover letters all sound the same, and she was right
I have been using one of those AI tools to write cover letters for about 5 months, and I was feeling good about it until my cousin Dana read three of them side by side at her kitchen table in Denver. She said they all opened with "I am excited to apply" and used the word "passionate" way too much, which I never noticed until she pointed it out. So I went back and wrote the openers by hand first, then used the AI only to clean up grammar, and two callbacks came in that same week. Has anyone else noticed AI writing has tells like that, and did changing your process actually help you?

Same thing happened to me, wrote my own openings and suddenly got noticed, those tools need a human touch first.
