inGeneric brand pills vs name brand, same pharmacist told me to switch
Wait, were you checking your BP the exact same time of day and everything? I mean, it's good it worked for you, but generics can have slightly different fillers that change how your body absorbs the drug for some people. I had a friend where the generic thyroid med messed with her levels, so she had to go back to the name brand. idk, maybe it's just about finding what works for your body specifically, even if the ingredient is the same.

inUsed to crank the AC all summer, now I sweat it out with a $30 box fan
$210 in July for one month? That's wild.

inHeard a old timer say something that stuck with me today
My 12 years in the trade says the opposite, sometimes you gotta lean into the tool to get through the tough stuff. That old timer’s advice sounds nice, but it doesn't work on every job.

inFound a leak in an old boiler I didn't even touch
Ha, I gotta disagree with you there. Checking stuff outside the ticket is how you end up doing free work and getting blamed when something else breaks. I've seen guys get burned that way, touching a pipe that wasn't part of the job and then the whole system fails a week later. It's not about feel, it's about liability. You fix the leak you're paid for, you note the other problem on the invoice, and you move on. That rotting gasket? Not your problem unless they pay you to make it your problem.
