Figured out why my star photos looked fuzzy, it was my neighbor's porch light in Tucson
I kept blaming my lens and my focus for 4 months of bad shots of Orion from my backyard. Turned out a new LED porch light two houses down was washing out the sky, and once I set up behind my shed to block it, the same camera nailed sharp shots. If you're in a subdivision, go stand where your gear sits and look for the brightest light in your view, that's probably your problem.
