Split second choice: ranch dressing or hot sauce on air fryer wings?

So last Friday I was staring at my basket of air fryer chicken wings, perfectly crispy at 380 for 25 minutes, and I had to pick between drenching them in ranch or hitting them with hot sauce. I went with hot sauce because I wanted some kick, but I grabbed a store brand buffalo sauce from the Stop & Shop down the street. It actually came out great, sticky and spicy, but now I'm wondering if I missed out on a creamy ranch vibe. Has anyone else had this crisis mid wing session?

Ranch is fine but you gotta pair it with something crispy, creamy on air fryer wings just feels like a missed opportunity unless you're doing a dip on the side. Hot sauce is the only way if you're tossing them in something.

Actually the creamy factor is kinda the whole point of tossing wings in ranch before air frying. I did a batch last week with 2 tbsp of ranch powder mixed into the coating before cooking and it came out way more even than dipping after. @umar49 its deeper than you think if youve ever had a dry wing from bad saucing. Hot sauce is great but it carmelizes way faster and can burn if youre not careful with air fryer temps. I usually do a light dusting of ranch seasoning then toss in buffalo after theyre done, best of both worlds honestly.
