Riveting by hand vs using a pneumatic gun: I finally switched after 12 years
I spent my first decade on the line bucking rivets with a manual squeezer because that's how my old lead taught me, but last Tuesday I borrowed a coworker's pneumatic setup on a C-130 bulkhead and honestly, has anyone else found the transition takes way more finesse than they expected?
Man, that switch is way more mental than people let on! You gotta unlearn years of muscle memory and suddenly your hand is reading pressure through a trigger instead of your fingertips. Give it a couple weeks though, the speed difference on long runs is worth the shaky first few days.
