inUnpopular opinion: that REI guy who told me to skip the footprint was right and I ignored him for 2 years
Read somewhere that a footprint mostly just saves your tent floor from abrasion, so on soft dirt or grass it does almost nothing. The waterproof thing is a trap too since the footprint itself can pool water under you if it sticks out past the tent edge. Basically it comes down to where you camp, not what you buy.

inMy credit score dropped 80 points because a bot thought I was dead
Wait a second, you said you missed one verification prompt. That's not exactly the same as a bot deciding you were dead for no reason. Usually those systems flag you after multiple failed checks, not a single missed one. The real issue is probably that your info with the credit bureaus got mixed up with someone else who has a similar name or social. Anyway, it took me about six weeks to fix a similar mess, but I had to file a dispute with each bureau separately. Also, that faxed birth certificate thing is ridiculous, they should accept a digital copy these days. Hope yours gets sorted faster than mine did.

inRewatching The Warriors at 40 hit different than it did at 16
The scene where they're all slumped in silence on the subway is practically a documentary of me every Friday at 5pm. I watched it with my oldest kid last week and he kept asking why they don't just call an Uber, which made me feel ancient. Thirty years ago I thought the Baseball Furies were the scariest thing in the world, now I'm like, those guys are just dads with bats and too much free time. I've definitely got a whole list of movies I need to revisit with my 40 year old brain, though I'm still not sure I'm ready for what they're actually about. Maybe I should start with something easier, like rewatching Space Jam and figuring out what the heck was going on there.
