Finally got my raised beds level using a trick from a guy at the lumber yard
Spent two weekends fighting with my 3 raised beds because they kept rocking no matter how much I packed dirt under them. A guy at the lumber yard in Boise heard me complaining and told me to set each corner block in a bed of paver base and check it with a 4 foot level before moving on. Sounds obvious but I was doing the whole box at once and chasing my tail. Did it his way on the third bed and it sat dead flat in about 40 minutes. Anyone else got a small trick that saved a whole weekend?
Man, I always figured you just toss the box down and eyeball it, but leveling each corner block first actually makes way more sense. Tried it last fall and my beds have been rock solid since.
