Appreciation post: Fixed a stubborn door contact this morning

Had a job where a door contact kept dropping signal no matter what I tried. Spent like two hours on it last week, but today I realized the alignment was off by a hair. Adjusted the magnet slightly and it's been solid ever since. Such a simple fix, but it makes my day, lmao.

Ugh, sensors failing is such a headache! I've seen a bunch of posts about similar issues online. It might be because of firmware updates or just cheap parts. My friend's unit died after a power surge last year. He had to replace the whole system, which was a huge pain. We really need better quality control from manufacturers!

Those alignment issues get blamed on bad parts all the time. Easy to miss, but a huge relief when you find it.
