Can we talk about hitting 400 panels installed and realizing I never logged half of them?
So I finally sat down last weekend to update my service records and added up every panel I've put in since I started doing this full time about six years ago. Came out to 412, and that's just the ones I could prove with paperwork, so the real number is probably higher. What got me was how few of them I could actually remember doing. I can tell you about maybe 30 of them in any detail, and the rest just blend into one long blur of drilling and fishing wire through walls. My wife asked if I felt proud and honestly I felt a little sick, because there's no way I did all those installs the same careful way I would do one today. Some of those early ones in rental houses over in Beaverton, I'd probably cringe if I went back and looked at the wiring. It made me wonder if anyone else keeps a real count or if you all just lose track after a while. How many have you put in, and do you actually remember the ones from your first couple years?
