Hardwired vs wireless for an old brick building, I made the call yesterday
Had a job last Tuesday in a 1920s brick building downtown. Client wanted full coverage but the walls are solid masonry. Ran the numbers, wireless was gonna cost about $800 more in parts but save us a full day of fishing wire. I went hardwired anyway. Took 11 hours, busted two drill bits, and my arms feel like noodles today. But the signal is solid and no battery swaps for the next 5 years. Client already asked about adding two more zones next spring. Anyone else dealt with this old construction headache? What did you pick?
