Warning: skip the cheap wireless contacts for high-moisture spots
Spent $120 on a box of no-name wireless contacts for a crawlspace in Seattle and 4 out of 12 failed within 3 months from humidity corrosion. I always went budget before, but now I'm back to hardwired for anything damp, anyone else had a similar burn?.
kinda like how people cheap out on phone chargers and then wonder why their battery dies in six months. sometimes the stuff you can't see, the moisture and the wiring, is exactly where you shouldn't save.
Feeling this so hard. I learned the hard way with a knockoff cable that literally melted the port on my old phone. Spent way more fixing that than I would have on a decent charger in the first place. The cheap ones never seem worth it once you count the damage they do.
