Overheard a guy at the hardware store talk about his crawl space, made me check mine
Standing in the insulation aisle on Saturday and this older fella tells the clerk he found water pooling under his place after that last big thaw. Took me back to my own setup in Lethbridge, so I drove home and popped my access hatch. Sure enough, my vapor barrier had a tear near the sump pit, probably been there since I bought the place in 2019. $30 of tape and an afternoon later it's sealed up, but it got me wondering how many other folks forget about that space until something's already rotting. Has anyone else found surprise moisture down there during a routine squiz?
