My credit score dropped 80 points after a rent ledger mistake
Last month I applied for a car loan at a Chase branch in Austin. Denied. Pulled my report and saw a collection account from my old landlord's property manager. I paid rent on time for 3 years. They sold the debt anyway. The algorithm just saw a matching name and address. I disputed it but they want a paper trail from 2021. Landlord won't return calls. Has anyone fought a false algorithmic flag like this? What actually worked?
