Warning: my uncle swears he saw a triangle light over Tucson in 1997 and now half my family argues about it at every BBQ
Every time we grill at my aunt's place in Tucson, my uncle brings up the three lights he watched hover over the desert for 20 minutes back in 1997, and my cousin just rolls his eyes and says it was a military flare. Last Sunday it turned into a full argument with 6 people yelling in the backyard, which got me wondering how many families have that one relative with a story nobody can prove. Does anyone here have a sighting in their family that splits everyone down the middle, or is it just mine?

My family's version of this is my mom's story about a "glowing orb" that followed her car for 10 miles, which she brings up whenever someone mentions camping. My dad's usual reply is that she probably just drove past a weird streetlight, and then we all sit there awkwardly for a minute. At least your uncle saw three lights, that's way more convincing than one orb that could honestly be anything.
