Rewatched Evangelion after 10 years and noticed something weird about the elevator scenes

I binged the rebuild movies last weekend. Never noticed how many conversations happen in elevators. It's like every major character talk is framed by those doors opening and closing. Even the old series does it. Weird how you miss patterns like that on first watch. Anyone catch other repeating setups in their favorite shows?

Used to roll my eyes at that take, but you might be onto something.

Yeah exactly, I remember watching a show and thinking "why is nobody just saying what's actually happening here" and then it hit me that the show was saving it for later. It's weird how common that is once you start noticing it.
