Went to Anime NYC and the crowd made it unwatchable
I hit Anime NYC last Saturday and the main stage line wrapped around twice, yet everyone kept hyping the panels like they were a must-see. Honestly, the smaller fan-run meetups in the back hall had better energy and actual discussion. Why do we keep treating big venue events as the gold standard when the real talk happens off the schedule?
Last year I waited in that main stage line for like 45 minutes and figured that was just how cons worked. But you're right, the little hallway meetups are where people actually talk instead of just sitting there. Totally changed how I plan my con days now.
