TIL those cheap stick-on hooks can wreck your walls if you rush them
Moved into this place in Austin back in April and hung up like 6 of those Command hooks the same afternoon. Fast forward to last week, one comes crashing down at 2am with my cast iron pan still on it. Turns out I never waited the full hour after cleaning the wall, and the adhesive just peels off when its humid. Spent 3 days patching and repainting a 4 inch gash, way more work than just following the package directions. Anyone else learn this the hard way or is it just me and my impatience?
