Saw a guy in Portland fix a parking meter with a butter knife and I can't stop thinking about it
I was walking down Hawthorne in Portland last Tuesday and watched a guy pop open a dead parking meter with a dull butter knife in about 90 seconds. He said the city takes weeks to fix them so he just does it himself and drops the coins in the slot anyway. Does anyone else have stories about random strangers fixing public stuff on the spot like that?
