inBinged a new thriller with my sister, now we can't agree if the big reveal was clever or cheap
Honestly that Broadchurch example is so spot on. Tbh I got the same feeling from that show Dark, where the tiny details in early episodes just wreck you when you rewatch. Ngl it makes the cheap twists in other shows even more annoying.

inI always thought my kimchi needed a full month to get good, but a week in the garage changed my mind
My laundry room at 72 degrees did the same thing for my sauerkraut, totally get what @shanef34 means about that secret level feeling.

inTried a new butter brand for my shortbread and the difference was crazy
Disagree completely, it's all marketing. My grandma made the best biscuits with the cheapest butter from the corner store. The obsession with fancy ingredients just makes cooking feel like a rich person's hobby instead of something real people do to eat. Good technique matters way more than the brand name on the wrapper.

inQuestion about using honey instead of sugar in sourdough
My buddy tried that and his starter died, which makes sense since @sean_green44 is right about honey being antimicrobial.

inTried to strip my old oak floors with a rented orbital sander last weekend
Wait, wouldn't a square buff sander just make more swirls? I mean, those are usually for applying wax on a car. For sanding out swirls in wood, I'd use a random orbital sander with a soft pad and like 320 grit paper, going really light.
