Boxed mac and cheese vs. the homemade version, and the winner surprised me
I tried making mac and cheese from scratch (roux, milk, shredded cheddar) and compared it to the $1 Aldi box on a Tuesday night. The box version actually tasted better to my kids and cost about 40 cents a serving, so I quit trying to be fancy. Does anyone have a cheap scratch recipe that actually beats the box?
