Warning: Lost $120 on a fake Etsy seller for a custom leather journal

I ordered a handmade leather journal from a shop with good reviews, paid $120, and waited 6 weeks. Got a package yesterday with a cheap vinyl notebook from Amazon worth maybe $10, not even close to what was pictured. The shop closed down three days after I placed my order, so I got ghosted on messages. Has anyone else gotten burned on Etsy by shops that look legit but vanish right after you pay?

Got an "organic" soap that was just melted down bulk stuff, felt that scam.

Organic labeling is basically meaningless now, the FDA barely regulates it for personal care. Your melt-and-pour soap was probably just rebranded with a fancy label and a 500% markup, same as that necklace situation. People need to actually check ingredients and ask for proof of small batch production, not just trust a sticker. What kind of specific ingredient claims did that soap make on the package?
