The neighbor kid's 10-minute take on satellite streaks made me rethink all my framing
He said he likes the streaks because they show time passing in a single shot, and after I processed 40 frames from last month's Milky Way session in Tucson, I can't stop seeing them as part of the story instead of errors, so has anyone else started leaving a few in on purpose?

That bit about "showing time passing in a single shot" hit me. I had a buddy who shot the Perseids up in Oregon last summer and he left every satellite trail in his final composite. He said the streaks looked like the sky was breathing, like each line was a second that actually mattered. He hung a print of it in his kitchen and people always ask what the lines are before they notice the meteors. He just tells them it's the neighborhood traffic report from 93 million miles away.
