That $40 vacuum sealer trick for welding fumes actually worked at my bay in Phoenix
Ran out of my usual fume extractor filters last Tuesday and got desperate during a long repair on an old F-150 cab. Grabbed a cheap vacuum sealer from home, rigged a shop vac hose to the intake, and sealed the nozzle near the weld spot. Sucked up way more smoke than I expected, but the filter clogged solid after 15 minutes and I had to swap out a second one. Now I keep two spares around, but anyone else tried this or is it just a messy hack with a short life?
