Tried PPG vs Sherwin-Williams clear coat on a bumper repair in Houston

PPG laid down way better for me - less orange peel and no fisheyes even in this humidity. Has anyone else noticed a big difference between the two brands on metallic jobs?

Oh man, tell me about it! I tried SW clear on a silver metallic fender once and it came out looking like crinkled tinfoil in the sun. PPG just seems to flow out smoother on those tricky metallic flakes, especially when it's muggy like it gets here in Houston.

Nah that's actually PPG that's more prone to crinkling on metallics in humidity, not SW.

That tinfoil look is a pain, I've had to sand and reshoot silver more times than I care to count.
