Pro tip: stop using that swirly brush drill attachment on your paint
I was about to buy a $25 drill brush kit off Amazon to strip the oxidation off my 2008 Civic and a guy at the AutoZone on 5th in Portland told me to rent a DA polisher from the parts store instead for $18 a day. I almost ignored him but tried it and the drill brush would've burned right through my clear coat in spots. Took me 4 hours with the DA and some Meguiars and the hood looks wet again instead of chalky. If your clear coat is already thin, those drill brushes are a trap. Anyone else had a close call with one of those things?
