Hit 100,000 miles on my old truck and decided to give it a full detail for the first time ever
I rolled over 100,000 miles in my 2012 F-150 last Tuesday, right outside of Austin. That number just kinda hit me different, you know? I've had this thing since 60k and I've never really done a proper detail on it, just quick washes and vacuums here and there. So I decided to go all out as a celebration or whatever. Spent like 7 hours on a Saturday doing a clay bar, then a good polish, then sealed it with a ceramic spray coating. Man, the paint felt like glass afterward, I couldn't stop touching it. The inside I vacuumed like three times and scrubbed the seats with a steam cleaner I borrowed from my neighbor. It honestly looked almost new again, which surprised me since I've hauled gravel and lumber and all sorts of junk in it. Has anyone else done a big milestone detail for their car's birthday or odometer rollover? Was it worth the time for you?
