Neighbor told me my fence post holes were way too shallow after watching me dig for an hour, now I measure every time

Honestly, "eyeballing it" worked fine for my first fence and it's been standing for six years now. I think people overthink this stuff, a wonky gate adds character and saves you an hour of digging through clay.

Wish someone told me sooner about clipper blade alignment

Listen to @nancyjones, she's right about that. I had a water heater making noises for two weeks and was ready to call a plumber for a $300 service call, but it just needed the pressure relief valve bled out a little. Always check the cheap stuff first, even if it feels too simple to be the problem.

I finally stopped overcomplicating my solar battery bank setup

Honestly $120 for a 200 watt setup is wild, what was he expecting that Bluetooth app to do that a multimeter couldn't?

My job site wifi router failed mid-pour concrete pour last Tuesday

Had a similar problem on a commercial slab pour in Austin last August. Router overheated around 1pm, right when we needed to coordinate the pump truck. I ended up tethering my work phone to a cheap travel router I keep in my lunchbox now. That little thing got us through the rest of the pour. Now I always carry a backup router and a USB fan to keep it cool. Also keep a laminated card zip tied to the router with the dispatcher's direct number, just in case the whole network goes down.

CarCapsule vs California Car Cover for long-term winter storage?

If you want serious protection, the bubble is the way to go. The original CarCapsule is honestly worth every penny. Because it stays inflated and has constant air circulation, moisture doesn't have a chance to settle. Rodents also hate the thick PVC base and the continuous airflow. A fitted cover is fine for summer dust, but for winter storage, the capsule wins hands down.
