PSA: I used to rate bad movies with a 1 to 5 star system, now I just ask one question
For a long time I kept a little notebook where I gave every cheesy film a star rating, and it got me nowhere because a 2 star movie like Troll 2 and a 2 star movie like The Room felt totally different. Now my wife and I watch in our living room in Boise and just ask one thing: did we quote it for a week after? That single test sorted my whole shelf faster than any list. What is your one question for deciding if a bad movie is actually worth keeping around?
Does it still make you laugh on the second watch, or were you just laughing at how bad it was the first time? That one saved me from a lot of junk, because stuff like The Room holds up and most random bad flicks get old fast. If it only works once, it goes to the donation pile, lol.
