Just found out why my 1997 Fadal sounds like it does
Was reading the old maintenance manual that came with the machine, and it says the spindle bearings were specced for a 30 minute warmup cycle. I've been firing mine up and cutting within 5 minutes for like 8 years. No wonder the high speed runs started getting this whine last month around 8000 rpm. Any other old Fadal guys do the full warmup or are we all just sending it?

That warmup chart only works if the machine isn't older than the guy who wrote it.
