PSA: I stopped using dawn dish soap on my wheels after a guy at a Cars and Coffee in Fresno roasted me for it
For a while I used dawn dish soap and a stiff brush on my wheels to strip brake dust and felt pretty good about it. A guy at a Cars and Coffee in Fresno looked at my rims and asked if I wanted the clear coat on my 2018 WRX to look like his faded old set, and honestly he was right about the dish soap slowly dulling the finish. Switched to a dedicated wheel cleaner and a soft microfiber brush after that, but now I wonder if I'm being too careful, so what do you all actually use on wheels?
