Ditched the fancy scan tool for a $15 test light, got the real answer
I spent three days chasing a no-start on a 2016 F-250 at my place in Tucson, swapping sensors because the high-end scanner said crankshaft position failure. Hooked up a cheap incandescent test light to the signal wire and saw it barely flicker, which told me the wiring was the problem, not the sensor. Anyone else find that the simple tools still beat the expensive ones when the wiring is half corroded?
