Flat rate book cost me 3 hours of pay on a 2006 Honda Odyssey last Tuesday

That flat rate thing gets worse when you factor in comeback jobs that are the same job twice. If that Odyssey came in with a bad motor mount or a leaking pump and you have to do it over for free, the book dont care and the clock keeps running. Usually what eats you on those old vans is the rust, every bolt fights you and the book still says 2.4 hours like the thing just rolled off the lot. People who write those times must live somewhere with no road salt.
