Am I the only one who ignored the fuel surcharge line until I compared two quotes side by side?
I got two quotes to ship my Civic from Phoenix to Denver and almost picked the cheaper one at $680, but then I actually read the fine print and the fuel surcharge was buried at the bottom for another $110. Both companies charged it, they just showed it in different spots on the paperwork, so the gap between them was way smaller than it looked at first glance. What line items do you check first when you compare quotes, because I clearly need a better system than just scrolling to the total?
