Got two quotes for a car haul from LA to Phoenix, and the cheap one taught me a $600 lesson
I needed my Civic moved from LA to Phoenix last spring and got two quotes, one at $650 and one at $1,250, so I went with the cheap one thinking the expensive guy was just overcharging. The cheap carrier picked it up 9 days late, then held my car for another week and hit me with a $600 storage fee that wasn't in the original quote. How do you actually spot the shady brokers before you hand over your keys?
