Chose the cheap dev tool over the enterprise one, now I'm paying for it in ops time
Last quarter I picked the $30/month automation tool over the $500/month one because the demo looked 'good enough'. Now I'm manually reconciling failed webhook triggers every Tuesday morning, about 2 hours each week. Anyone else hit this wall where the savings isn't worth the hidden maintenance cost?

Three failed syncs in one night last month is what did it for me. I used to be the guy saying "just pick the cheap one and fix it later" but then I spent a whole Sunday rebuilding a workflow that kept breaking. The hidden cost is never the tool itself, it's the time you burn babysitting it. I finally switched to something pricier and my Tuesday mornings went back to coffee instead of debugging. Sometimes paying more is just buying back your own brain space.
