Heard a guy at REI say his GPS died 3 miles in, now I'm rethinking my map skills
Last Saturday I was picking up a new filter and overheard him telling the clerk he had to backtrack near Glacier Peak because his phone died and his paper map was buried in his pack. It made me realize I've gotten way too lazy with navigation, so I pulled out my old topo maps last night and traced my usual loop through the Cascades. Anyone else still carry paper backups even when they've got the GPS app dialed in?
