Guy at the Fort Worth lumber yard showed me his 30 year old cedar gate and one thing about it stuck with me
He pointed at the bottom rail sitting a full inch off the ground and said "most folks bury their gate in the dirt then wonder why it rots in 4 summers," so now I want to know how much gap you all leave under your gates and whether 1 inch is enough for a soggy backyard.
