My neighbor's fence gate opens the wrong way and it's been driving me nuts for 8 months
Three years ago my neighbor Dave built a gate on his back fence and it swings into his yard instead of out toward the alley, which means every time I take my mower back there I have to stop and wait for him to open it from his side. Last Saturday I watched him try to carry a wheelbarrow full of mulch through that thing and he dumped half of it on his shoes. I finally asked him why he hung it that way and he said he didn't want it blocking his wife's rose bushes, but those bushes are 6 feet from the gate so I don't get it. Has anyone here ever built a gate that opens inward and actually liked it, or should I just keep my mouth shut and let Dave learn the hard way?
