My brother in law paused Troll 2 at the 40 minute mark just to point out the same extra walking by in 3 scenes
We were 6 people deep on his couch in Reno last Friday and he froze it right when the kid yells about the goblins, then rewound it twice to show us the same guy in a flannel shirt crossing the background. Nobody else in the room cared but he looked at me like he'd solved a murder, and honestly that was the most fun I've had watching a movie all year. What's the dumbest background detail you've ever caught that made a bad movie way better for you?
Have you ever noticed how a truly terrible movie can turn into the best night ever just because one person in the room is weirdly obsessed with one tiny thing? Honestly, your brother in law freezing it twice to show you Flannel Guy is peak cinema behavior, and I get why nobody else cared but you did. Tbh the dumbest one I ever caught was in a cheap shark movie where the same plastic cup sat on a boat railing for the entire film, even during a storm scene. Once you see it you can't unsee it, and suddenly that cup is the real star of the movie. Ngl those little screw ups are the only reason I keep watching bad movies with friends. Your story made me want to rewatch Troll 2 just to hunt for that guy.
