DAE think the new self checkout at the Walmart on 5th in my town is slower than the old lanes?
I was at the Walmart on 5th Street last Saturday and counted 11 people waiting for 4 self checkout machines while two cashier lanes sat totally empty. It took me 8 minutes to scan 6 items because the stupid thing kept yelling at me about the weight of my bananas. I get that the store saves cash on workers but it feels like they just moved the line and made it my job. Am I crazy for thinking they should just open the regular lanes back up when it gets busy?
