Hot take: I stopped going to my barber of 4 years because of one thing a stranger said in line at a shop in Billings
I was waiting my turn at this little barbershop in Billings and this older guy in front of me looked at my fade and quietly said "whoever does your lines owes you money." I brushed it off at first, but I got home and actually looked at the back of my head with two mirrors and he was right, my edges were crooked as hell. Am I crazy for thinking a $40 cut should at least have straight lines, or should I have said something to him instead of just finding a new spot?
Try looking at it from the barber's side for a second, because the guy in line wasn't the one holding the clippers. Four years of cuts and you bail over one comment from a stranger who probably never touched a set of clippers in his life? A $40 cut should be clean, sure, but you owed your barber a chance to fix it or at least hear about it before you walked.
