My 6 month trial of a mechanical keyboard at a loud office made me miss the $5 membrane one
Swapped to a clicky board in January to feel productive, but after my coworker Deb literally said 'can you type softer?' on Tuesday, I realized the clack was just my way of pretending I was busier than I am, so has anyone else downgraded for peace and quiet in a shared space?

Honestly it sounds like you're overthinking a keyboard situation. Deb saying that one time doesn't mean you need to ditch the whole thing, people complain about noise no matter what you use. Just get some o-rings for $8 and move on with your life.
