That cheap laser level I bought on Amazon actually changed my mind about budget tools
I picked up a $15 laser level from a no-name brand just to see if it could handle hanging some pictures in my living room. Figured it would be junk like those $10 levels I've tossed before, but after 3 tries calibrating it against a bubble level, the lines were dead on. Sent a photo of the result to my brother who does drywall for a living, and he couldn't even tell I didn't use a $80 Bosch. I honestly thought spending more was the only way to get accuracy, but this thing proved me wrong with a single wall of frames that came out perfectly straight. Learned that sometimes the cheap option works fine if you're not building a house with it. Has anyone else had a budget tool surprise them like that?

My buddy bought one for hanging a tv and it worked shockingly well.
