Remember when that Tickle Me Elmo doll got pulled from shelves? Wild times
I was working retail in Jersey back in 2006 and we had people camping outside for that doll before Thanksgiving. Then the recall hit because the voice box could overheat, and my manager had to confiscate them from crying moms at the register. We shipped back about 40 units and the whole thing felt silly, the toy was loud but harmless. Does anyone else think those early recalls were more about panic than real danger, or am I just nostalgic for simpler crazes?
