That recalled pressure cooker lid nearly took out my kitchen window
Picked up a cheap pressure cooker at a yard sale in Austin back in March, didn't know it was part of that big recall from 2021. First time using it, the lid shot off like a rocket and punched a crack right through my patio door. I called the manufacturer and they confirmed the batch number, so I got a refund and they sent a replacement seal kit. Has anyone else messed with recalled gear they didn't know about, or do you check serial numbers on everything before you plug it in?
Learned my lesson the hard way with a sketchy blender that threw sparks everywhere, so now I'm the paranoid guy reading serial numbers on everything like it's a spy movie.
