A client told me my fades looked 'patchy' and it stung but he was right
Had a regular named Marcus pull me aside after a cut last month and say my fades looked uneven in the back near the crown. I was using a #2 guard all the way through but he pointed out I needed to blend with a #3 for a smoother transition. Switched up my technique and now I use three guards instead of two on every fade. Anyone else get a brutal but fair critique from a customer that actually made them better?

Switching from two guards to three was the exact fix for my patchy fades too. Do you still start with the same guard length or did you change that up as well?
